Come to this class to get immediate hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI Desktop. Power BI puts dynamic and interactive report design at your fingertips, making it easy improve your business analytics with a powerful, simple to use, and cost-effective report design tool.
In this class, we’ll introduce you to the desktop, server, and cloud-based components of Microsoft’s Power BI. Then we’ll dive in and show you how to build your own report while demonstrating some of the software’s niftier features - like slicers and drill-through capability - that will give your reports a great user experience.

Power BI: Intermediate
This class is designed for people with some Power BI Desktop experience looking for more practice with data preparation and data modeling, as well as learning to use DAX to optimize measures in Power BI. We'll also look at ways to enhance report visuals and user interactivity.

Meet your instructor: Ian Proffer
Ian has worked for the last 25 years as a consultant, report writer, database analyst, and administrator, including four years at Microsoft in the SQL Server group. Ian has travelled the US teaching classes, delivering learning labs, and giving presentations on SQL Server and Power BI. Ian is a Microsoft Certified Trainer, and holds a Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification.
