Joel drives Acmeware's strategic initiatives, enhancing customer relationships, and fostering collaboration within the healthcare technology sector. With over 20 years in hospital executive positions, Mr. Benware leads Acmeware's commitment to delivering innovative solutions and exceptional service to meet the evolving needs of healthcare organizations. Joel has held senior leadership roles at Samaritan Health in Watertown, NY as CIO from 2021 through mid-2023; at Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans, VT, serving as Chief Information, Innovation and Compliance Officer from 2013-2019 and as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer from 2019-2021. Prior to these roles, he worked as Chief Information Officer of Alice Hyde Medical Center, Malone, NY, and Chief Technology Officer at the Albany College of Pharmacy. Joel holds a degree from Appalachian State University and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), a Certified Healthcare CIO (CHCIO), Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), and a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS).
