Electronic Case Reporting (eCR) facilitates automatic, real-time sharing of case information with Public Health Agencies (PHAs).

When information enters the EHR system, it undergoes validation against a trigger table to identify potentially reportable conditions. Upon detection, an electronic Initial Case Report (eICR) transmits automatically to the appropriate PHAs.
